Giving Back
It was back in December 1998 when my wife and I decided to move to Palmdale, not knowing a single person here but the real estate agent that helped us find a home here. It was difficult at first, finding the closest grocery stores, dry cleaners, restaurants, church and school for our kids, it took us a few years to adapt to the weather and to start meeting other people.
On September 11th, 2001 we opened our own business, during the previous 27 plus years, my wife and I worked for the corporate world, in the Retail Industry, managing thousands of employees, conducting interviews, hiring, training, terminating, mentoring both sales and operational staff, writing new policies, conducting hundreds of meetings. Now it was just the two of us… We learned the importance of great customer service and creating long term relationships.
We have been blessed, during the past 20 years we have build so many relationships and have learned that giving back to our community is a bigger blessing to us. During the past 6 years we have hosted the AV Business Expo and given back 100% of the proceeds back to an organization to help kids with after school programs, Gabriel’s House. The Palmdale City Council voted unanimously to approve the dedication of a Neighborhood House, “Gabriel’s House,” in memory of 8-year-old Gabriel Fernandez, who died in 2013 after prolonged abuse. Gabriel’s House serves as a music, visual and performing arts center to provide children in the area with the opportunity to develop their creative talents.
We truly believe the importance of education and our kids in the community. They are our future! So, in 2019 we created a 501 (c)3 “The Ventura Foundation”. Whose sole purpose is to assist with Educational Scholarships, help other organizations such as Gabriel’s House, Music and Kids, Palmdale Sheriff’s Boosters Education Foundation, among other qualifying organizations.
